According to Projected estimates of cancer in Canada in 2024, around 247,100 Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer and 88,100 will die from the disease in 2024 alone. In their lifetime, about 2 in 5 Canadians will develop cancer, and 1 out of 4 Canadians will die from it.
At present, five-year cancer survival is about 64%.
